A wide and varied scope of activities of the thriving centre proves that a lot of interesting events can take place even in places distant from the city centre. To keep up, you should follow the proposals presented on the website of the Regional Kurpie Cultural Centre (RKCC) almost every day. The offer is extremely varied and aimed not only at the local needs. It is certainly interesting also for tourists.
The activities of the RKCC cover their area of the town and the municipality of Myszyniec. The scope of the centre’s activity is extremely broad. These include cultural and social education, popularisation and promotion of artistic creativity in all fields of art, regular methodical assistance for ensembles of the amateur artistic movement, creative groups, the folklore, folklore and artistic handicraft, documenting information resources on cultural and social phenomena of the local environment, conducting and supporting ensembles and local groups, promoting, supporting and carrying out projects dedicated to activating and integrating the local community. Also, the centre implements projects in the field of national traditions, as well as local and national heritage protection – to name only the most important.
The centre successfully organises performances, concerts, exhibitions, lectures, teaches foreign languages, runs an artistic agency, organises entertainment, tourism and leisure events. It also runs a publishing, printing, filming, photo, and phonographic services, a rental of costumes, props, and technical and other equipment, organises professional courses and training, as well as events based on restaurant and hotel services.
The Centre welcomes all willing to guitar, rhythm and percussion classes, as well as rehearsals of vocal and music ensembles, art workshops for children, teenagers and adults. During the week, rehearsals of folk dance ensembles: Kurpiaki and Kurpiowszczyzna take place here. The facility also operates the Active Toddler Club. There’s plenty going on here, for example the Kurpie Fair, summer day camps, and family festivals. Also, the Centre does not fail to celebrate important historical anniversaries. For example, on the Independence Day, 11 November, a Patriotic and Soldier Folk Song Review in Most Kopański, and rallies are organised on the anniversary of the birth of the Kurpie researcher, Adam Chetnik.
The RKCC branch operates also a museum, with temporary exhibitions and a permanent exhibition dedicated to the culture of the Kurpie.
